Whistleblower/Anti-Retaliation Policy Template for Credit Unions

The purpose of this Policy is to demonstrate the Credit Union’s commitment to integrity and to provide a safe, independent and anonymous means that encourages any and all Board members, officers, Board-level Committee members and Supervisory or Audit Committee members to raise concerns and provide credible information regarding any illegal or unethical practices or violations of the Credit Union’s policies or procedures. The Policy encourages and enables individuals to identify and raise serious concerns within the Credit Union prior to seeking outside resolution. It also protects individuals coming forward from retaliation and identifies individuals to whom such information should be reported.
