Privacy of Member Information Policy Template for Credit Unions

This Policy sets forth the Credit Union’s policy related to its member’s privacy, taking into consideration state and Federal privacy law, including but not limited to, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Beyond the legal requirements for the privacy of Member information, the Credit Union is committed to privacy of Member information as a fundamental value of its business practices and culture. The Credit Union’s Board, Volunteers, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Senior Management and Staff operate as required by law, meeting their ethical obligations, holding Members’ privacy and the privacy of their information as the rule, not the exception. The Credit Union will comply with all applicable Federal and state laws with respect to privacy of Member information.
