Conflicts of Interest Policy for Nonprofits
Volunteers must be committed to the highest standards of integrity and ethics while conducting the Organization’s business. No Board member, officer, Board-level committee member or Audit Committee member shall derive any personal profit or gain, directly or indirectly, by reason of their service or position with the Organization. Board members and officers shall conduct their personal and professional affairs in such a manner as to avoid any possible Conflicts of Interest; nevertheless, actual, potential or perceived Conflicts of Interest may arise from time to time.
This Policy describes how to address actual, potential or perceived Conflicts of Interest when they arise. It also addresses the requirement for an annual disclosure that identifies any actual, potential or perceived Conflicts of Interest, as well as procedures to follow in the event an actual Conflict of Interest arises.
