Board Member Qualifications Policy for Nonprofits

This Policy describes the general qualifications for members (Board members)  and Associate Board members of the Organization’s Board of Directors. It articulates both the required and the prioritized qualifications for the Organization’s volunteers and should be used in coordination with additional Organization policies that outline Board members’ and Associate Board Members’ roles and responsibilities, including the Role and Responsibilities of the Board of Directors, the Board Member Job Description, the Associate Board Member Job Description and the Legal Duties of Board Members.
