Board Committees Policy Template for Credit Unions

Board-level committees are chartered to help ensure that the Board performs its work efficiently and according to the most effective governance practices available. Their primary function is only to make recommendations to the Board, not to make decisions on behalf of the Board. Board-level committees are used to help the Credit Union’s Board and Senior Management: 
Identify key issues, concerns and questions ahead of Board meetings, allowing for research, education and counsel that can inform the Board's decision-making.
Foster more efficient, productive and informed Board meetings.
